The Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria is set to hold a fitness walk on April 1, as part of activities marking its 50th-anniversary celebration.
The walk, which will be held in Lagos, is aimed at promoting physical exercise for general body wellness among members of the association and the public.
Announcing the itinerary for the walk, AAAN President, Steve Babaeko, called on staff of member agencies to join the walk, starting at 8am, adding that the Association will also be making a charity donation to an orphanage.
“AAAN is 50 years young. We feel youthful, vibrant, trendy, and healthy. We are therefore using this activity to promote general body wellness among member agencies. As part of this fitness walk, we are making donations to an orphanage school for mentally and physically challenged children. All member agency staff of AAAN are welcome to be part of this walk starting at 8am. Come let’s walk the talk together,” he said.
The walk will take off from the AAAN Secretariat at Jobi Fele Way, down to Marwa Garden Estate, into CIPM Avenue, then Hakeem Balogun Street and back to the AAAN Secretariat.
Chairman of AAAN Welfare Committee, Fillius Osubor, disclosed that the popular health and wellness company, I-Fitness, will lead aerobics sessions during the walk, while participants will also get health checkups amidst entertainment, and refreshments.
The fitness walk is also supported by McVitie’s, 12 Baskets Foods and The Dozy Mmobuosi Foundation.
Founded in 1973 as a sectorial body in the marketing industry, AAAN is the umbrella body that coordinates and promotes the interest of Advertising Agencies in Nigeria.
