A video of renowned singer, Burna Boy revealing when he realized he was popular has spurred more comments from netizens as regards the ‘New and Old Cats’ argument.
Recall that Davido caused a buzz a few days back after he classified Burna Boy, as a ‘new cat’ in the music industry alongside Rema, and others.
However, in an interview that recently popped up. Burna Boy was asked when he realized that his music had begun travelling beyond boundaries.
In response, he noted that it was in 2014 when he performed at a big stadium in the Eastern part of Nigeria. According to Burna, people there only loved and listened to music made by their people, but when he performed, he was shocked to see them vibe along to his song.
To Burna Boy, this was when he realized he had blown up.

The disclosure however triggered a lot of comments, especially from netizens who felt the singer had justified Davido’s statement about being a new cat.
