Mimi Orjiekwe reportedly arrested over alleged N700m fraud

The Special Fraud Unit (SFU) Ikoyi, Lagos state is said to have detained Nollywood actress Mimi Orjiekwe on Monday night on allegations that she failed to fulfill a contract worth N700,000,000 that was given to her by businessman Mr. Micheal Diongoli.

This is coming few days after Mimi celebrated her birthday

Insiders claim that Mimi Orjiekwe has been missing for almost two months after collecting the businessman’s N700 million.

Cuttie Julls posted on Instagram after disclosing information about her arrest.

A part of the post read:

“It’s largely rumoured in Mimi’s close circus that the actress had previously mentioned to few that she was confident Mr Michael Diongoli would remain behind bars for a long time when he had issues with the Nigerian Interpol.

“Guess fate got on the wrong side of Mimi as Michael Diongoli has been released by the Interpol and has been expecting Mimi to complete the job he paid her for but all efforts have been unsuccessful as Mimi is suspected to have used the money for other personal interests.”

As a result, Mr. Micheal Diongoli petitioned the Ikoyi law enforcement police department for assistance in finding and apprehending Mimi Orjiekwe.

A source close to the actress told LIB that some gunmen dressed in police uniform stormed her shop at Number 32 Lawani street, Abule Oja, off UNILAG road in Lagos at about 10am on Friday, June 18, and whisked her away.

The source claimed that an investigation later revealed that the men who picked her up were from Zone 9 AIG’s office in Umuahia and that she has been with the police since Friday.

The source said efforts are currently being made to get her out as the men who picked her up never presented any warrant of arrest or a letter of invitation before picking her up and whisking her to Abia state. The source added that the reason for her arrest has not yet been stated…Read more.
