Nollywood actor, Ali Nuhu, has reacted to the controversial video of Davido’s signee, Logos Olori, which has sparked significant backlash.
The music video of Olori’s recent track titled, ‘Jayelo’ depicted Muslims praying on a mat while Logos Olori could be seen on top of a building singing, in no time, the men who donned white subsequently started dancing.
Taking to Instagram, Ali expressed his disapproval of the video, finding it completely unacceptable to his religion.
In his statement, Ali acknowledged that it is okay for entertainers to strive to be creative in their respective fields but emphasized the importance of respecting other people’s religions, cultures, and traditions in the process.
Ali Nuhu went on to demand that Davido take action by deleting the video and issuing an apology for hurting the entire Muslim ummah (community).
In his words:
“I just came across the controversial video posted by @davido, as much we want to be creative in our various fields we should learn to respect other people’s religion, culture and tradition. This is totally unacceptable in Islam. You should pull down that video and apologize for hurting the entire Muslim ummah.”
