Seyi Awolowo, a former housemate of the popular reality show Big Brother Naija, has expressed his disappointment at the backlash he received from Nigerians for his controversial remarks and actions during his time on the show.

Seyi, who garnered both fame and criticism for his participation in the reality series, recently spoke out during an Instagram Live session.

The reality star’s comments came in the wake of public outrage over a sexist comment he made during his stint in the Big Brother Naija house, which drew condemnation from viewers and online communities.

Seyi was also criticized for issuing threats, including one directed at his friend and fellow housemate, Kiddwaya, prompting Kiddwaya’s mother to threaten legal action against him.

During an interview with popular TV host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Seyi had issued an apology to Nigerians for his sexist comment and his various behavioral incidents on the reality show.

However, in the recent Instagram Live session, Seyi expressed his frustration with the public perception of him as a villain and questioned why his positive contributions within the house were seemingly forgotten.
