The 21-year-old claimed that even while he performed freestyles and posting on social media, he was in good financial standing.

In an interview with Korty EO, Rema claimed that even if he failed to succeed in the music business, he would continue to work hard and make money.

Unlike many of his peers, Rema’s motivation for creating music goes far beyond monetary gain. Instead, it is his sheer passion for the art form that drives him to write, produce, and perform songs that resonate with his fans on a profound level.

The singer declared, ” If music didn’t work, I would still be hustling while pushing that button in the corner.

Even at that point where I was doing freestyles, I didn’t really need to do a freestyle because I needed money. I had money. I was actually good.”

The track ‘Calm Down,’ which was originally released on August 25, 2022, garnered attention for its unique fusion of Afrobeats and pop elements.

Notably, the remix of the song achieved incredible success, becoming the first-ever track to maintain a position on the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart for an entire year.

Additionally, it secured the coveted spot of being the First No.1 Hit on The Official MENA Chart.
