Davido, the Afrobeat sensation known around the globe, ignited a digital firestorm with a ‘liked’ tweet on X(Twitter).

The OBO crooner, fresh off the joy of embracing twins with his spouse, Chioma Adeleke, appears not to be a fan of the season 7 Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) winner, Phyna.

This was evident by a tweet the singer liked and connected with on X.

The tweet that stirred a reaction from Davido was shared by @47kasz. He noted that there are some sets of celebrities that once a person claims to be their fan or stan, he immediately judges them to be a useless set of people.

Fans who stumbled upon the ‘liked tweet’ nestled in Davido’s Twitter feed were taken aback by the singer’s move, while some came to his defense, argued that it could be an “honest mistake”.

Meanwhile, Davido, in recent interview, recently said he ran DMW, his record label, for four years without taking any money from his artistes.

The megastar, in a chat with Steve Stoute, a US media personality, said initially he operated his label like a family and invested in artistes’ welfare without taking any money from them.

He said he was happy to see that his success could rub up on his artistes.

He added that as Afrobeats gained global reception, he felt the need to educate them about the business side of the industry.
