The latest data shows that the movie recorded 5.7 million hours of views from a total of 2.9 million views, making it the sixth most watched non-English film globally between October 16 – 22, 2023. It is still the only Nigerian film in that category and contends with other non-English films from across Hollywood and Bollywood.

Written by Tunde Babalola, Ijogbon follows the lives of four teenagers, played by Ruby Akubueze, Kayode Ojuolape, Fawaz of Ikorodu Boiz, and Oluwaseyi Ebiesuwa from the rural village of Oyo Oke in south-west Nigeria, who stumble on a pouch of diamonds.

Directed by Kunle Afolayan, the cast in this adventure film includes Gabriel Afolayan, Adunni Ade, Manuel Bimbo, Yemi Solade, Sam Dede, Gregory Ojefua, Saeed Mallam, Femi Branch, Femi Adebayo, and Dorathy Bachor.

It has only been two weeks since its debut on October 13, 2023, and time will tell how far it reaches on the global chart.
