Mohbad’s wife, dad, mum arrive court for Coroner’s inquest

  • A scorching video capturing Omowunmi Mohbad’s family striding into the courtroom for the singer’s murder case has ignited a firestorm of online chatter.
  • Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi and her son Liam strolled in, flanked by the singer’s mother, Olumiyi.
  • The duo, along with the singer’s father, Mr Aloba, are all in court for the corona’s inquest as the investigation committee sits.

The family of the late singer Mohbad, including his wife, his father and his mother on Wednesday arrived at a coroner’s court in Lagos for an inquest into the death of the singer whose real name is Oladimeji Aloba.

Since a day after Mohbad died, his wife, Wunmi Aloba, has yet to speak about her husband’s death publicly. Nor has she responded to allegations levelled against her about having a hand in the death of her late husband.

The young mother of one, alongside late singer arrived together at the Lagos State High Court, Ikorodu, for the committee report of the Corona inquest into the death of young singer Mohbad.

In a separate video clip, the father of the deceased singer, Mr. Aloba, was seen arriving at the courtroom alongside other family members.

Coroner Magistrate Adedayo Shotobi had on October 13 summoned musicians Naira Marley and Primeboy and also socialite Sam Larry to appear before the court on October 25 in an ongoing inquest to determine the cause of Mohbad’s death.

The coroner instructed the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Panti, to ensure the presence of the trio at the next adjourned date of October 25.

The court did not however invite the nurse whom the police considered one of the prime suspects in the case.

Last week, the police said that Naira Marley and Sam Larry are being held for alleged cyberbullying, threats to life, and assault resulting in harm to Mohbad.

Commissioner of Police Idowu Owohunwa said that Primeboy was complicit in the case because he gave Mohbad a life-threatening injury during a fight.
