“I was diagnosed with life-threatening throat infection” – Teni spills, months after weight-loss

Popular songstress, Teniola Apata, simply known as Teni, recently stirred emotions after revealing she has been going through a rough patch since July.

Teni the entertainer revealed she was diagnosed with a life-threatening throat infection while recording her second album titled Tears Of The Sun. This comes just a few months after she shared a weight-loss journey with her fans.

She revealed that after different bouts of temporary voice loss, doctors advised her to undergo a major operation or risk permanent voice loss.

Teni was, however, hospitalised in September after repeated cases of exhaustion. Without doing the surgery but undergoing treatment Teni, shared a clip of her journey which showed her in the hospital.

Towards the end of the clip, the singer assured her fans that her new album, “Tears Of The Sun”, is heartfelt and would be out on the 17th of this month. She added that one of her singles “Malaika” is her song of gratitude to God. She captioned the post:

The singer who lost over 70 pounds and is now sporting a slimmer and svelte figure, took to her Instagram to share her transformation journey.

Posting a reel that featured before and after looks, Teni revealed that she didn’t want to die so she had to get rid of all that weight.
