The artist was left shocked and disappointed upon discovering the heinous ploy that had stained his reputation.
In an Instagram story, the artist detailed the ordeal and said that Brave T.Tey, a performance promoter, had scammed people under his name, which led to his arrest.
Hotkid wrote:
âAccumulatively collected over 10 million naira from different people! They came to arrest me for money I had no idea about because of this @brave_t.tey. Oloshi oloriburuku! Naso people dey enter wahala wey no be their own oo.â
In another post he wrote:
âWanted! He is a thief! Iâm giving you 24 hours to pay up the lady and everyone else you collected money from using my name, [or] else youâd hate yourself.â
