Byron Messia, a Kittitian dancehall performer, describes experience working with Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy on the remix of his song “Talibans.”

In the most recent episode of the Bootleg Kev podcast, Byron Messia discussed the song’s writing process and lauded Burna Boy’s incredible talent.

He stated that Burna Boy writes his verses on the fly while freestyling ,adding that he never writes in a studio.

He said:

Burna Boy did his verse on the song, ‘Talibans II’ in my presence. The session was fun and exciting. Burna Boy murdered that remix. The way he came up with that verse, mehn, this man is talented, gifted like out of the world, crazy, insane like insanely talented.

“He didn’t even write his verse. He didn’t stand in the studio boot for an hour. It was a crazy moment.”

Known for his exceptional skills on the field, Henrichs expressed his admiration for the Nigerian musician, Burna , praising his unique blend of Afro-fusion sound and captivating lyrics.

He revealed this in a video that sports writer Oma Akatugba posted, where he could be heard singing along to some of the self-proclaimed African Giant’s songs.

When asked to choose his favorite singer among the music industry’s top three, Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy, the RB Leipzig full-back chose Burna Boy.
