Chioma’s closet, others boost fashion business

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Chioma’s Closet, Chioma Ikokwu, in partnership with notable fashion brands, launched fashion collections in Lagos to boost fashion business in Nigeria.

A statement said Ikokwu, an entrepreneur and fashion influencer, hosted top celebrities, notable fashion designers and fashion influencers at an event to celebrate fashion and philanthropy, which was supported by Champagne Laurent-Perrier.

According to the statement, they launched new fashion collections for her business, Chioma’s Closet, an initiative she launched to empower the less privileged by selling her fashion items with 50 per cent of the proceeds, going to her self-funded non-profit, The Good Way Foundation.

The statement said, “Chioma popularly known as ChiomaGoodHair, organised the fashion event by collaborating with notable Nigerian fashion brands such as Imad Eduso, Amy Aghomi, Wanni Fuga, Hertunba, Weizdhurm Franklyn, LFJ Official and DNA by Iconic Invanity to give fashion and philanthropy centre stage.

“During a fireside chat, Latasha Lagos had an insightful conversation with Founder/CEO, of Chioma’s Closet, Chioma Ikokwu, about the purpose of establishing Chioma’s Closet and the brand’s values spanning around elegance, luxury, philanthropy, and compassion.

“Chioma also expressed her appreciation of her team’s passion and relentless dedication to helping her achieve her goal of empowering the less privileged and encouraged the guests to support The Good Way Foundation by shopping the pieces in the collection as a contribution to society.”

Sponsored by the renowned brand, Champagne Laurent Perrier, the statement said there was a fashion runway show which featured designers by DNA by Iconic Invanity, and other designers such as Weizdhurm Franklyn, Wanni Fuga, Imad Eduso, Amy Aghomi, Hertunba and LFJ Official.

Host and fashion influencer at Chioma’s Closet Fashion event, Denrele Edun, encouraged guests to shop the items in Chioma’s Closet collection as a support of the philanthropic efforts of Ikokwu.

He said 50 per cent of the proceeds would be donated to helping the less privileged through The Good Way Foundation.
