Popular Nigerian actress cum filmmaker, Toyin Abraham-Ajeyemi has been at the centre of some harsh criticisms on social media over a recent announcement on her page.
The thespian shared details of a food bank she created with the soul purpose of supporting 50 people with food and a stipend of five thousand Naira (N5,000) transportation fee every Friday.
Amid the ongoing hardship and inflation in the country, the actress sought to provide whatever relief she can by supporting the needy.
In a post on her X page, Toyin Abraham noted that she and some of her friends came up with the idea and would thereby be assisting every Friday with food and transportation.
Toyin Abraham shared a flyer that contained the details and wrote:
“My friends@Smallyfares and I will be giving out food and I will also give 5k each for transportation to first 50 people every Friday. Pls kindly check the above flier for more details????❤️”
Toyin’s announcement was greeted with fierce criticism from many Nigerians, who slammed her for supporting President Tinubu a former Lagos state governor.
