Comedian Seyi Law has revealed that he lost over 200,000 followers on social media for expressing his support for president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, during the 2023 general election.

He disclosed this during his recent  appearance on The Honest Bunch Podcast, co-hosted by actor Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, also known as Nedu Wazobia, Toun Cole, and Husband Material.

Seyi Law stated that he is not deterred by the loss of followers and stands by his decision to support Tinubu, whom he believes has the best interest of the country at heart.

He said:

 “I lost over 200,000 followers because of the election which for me, is not a problem. The most important thing is that whatever you do, try as much as possible to draw that you’re doing it from the right place. Whatever you do, are you sure that you are doing it from the right place? Is it fair to those concerned? If you’re not being fair, don’t do it.”

Seyi Law also asserted that Tinubu was responsible for making Lagos the modern center of entertainment.

Despite facing backlash and criticism for his political views, he remains adamant in his support for Tinubu and has continued to speak out in favor of the president.

He stated that he will not abandon government he helped into power .

he emphasized that he will continue to stand by his decision and do his part in shaping a better future for the country with the help of the new administration.

He voiced hope that Nigeria’s economic situation will improve.

He claimed he was now in Abuja meeting with some government officials to restore hope to Nigerians.

“The cost of governance will reduce, minimum wage will increase, and food affordability will improve” he said.
