Yemi Elesho, a well-known skit maker and content creator, has revealed that Asake’s former acquaintances from his days as an emerging artist are expressing dissatisfaction with his apparent disregard for their messages.

In a recent exclusive sit-down with Echo Room, Yemi Elesho, who walked the same university corridors as Asake, disclosed that the acclaimed singer battled financial woes during his formative years at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where he couldn’t even foot the bill for accommodation, and survived solely on the generosity of his friends.

Elesho acknowledged that since achieving stardom, Asake has indeed drifted away from his old circle of friends.

However, he offered a perspective suggesting that it’s only natural for Asake to prioritize certain relationships over others, given the constraints of fame and the inability to accommodate everyone in his newfound success.

Yemi Elesho said,

“Asake is big and a lot of his friends are complaining that he doesn’t reply their messages but it’s a natural thing, he can’t carry everybody along.”
