  • Doyin David has dished out relationship advice, particularly to ladies.
  • The reality TV star on Snapchat gave the advice in response to one of her followers whose lover recently broke up with.

Big Brother Naija reality TV star Doyin David has fished out advice to ladies in relationships on what to expect. Speaking on Snapchat, the dark skinned beauty shared a message she received from one of her followers who asked if it was okay to call her boyfriend stingy.

The lady in question said she called her boyfriend a stingy man for not randomly giving her money except she requests and he broke up with her. The netizens wrote:

“Doyin good afternoon, please cover my name. Is it bad to tell your boyfriend he is stingy, I told him twice when we were arguing of not randomly giving me money unless I ask for it and he broke up with me yesterday. Please tell me if I did something wrong.”

Responding on her account, Doyin cautioned women against feeling obligated towards their partner’s money.

The reality TV star added that until a man marries a woman, it isn’t his responsibility to randomly give his partner money. She wrote:

“I don’t think he’s stingy because he doesn’t randomly give you money. If you have a man that gives to you when you ask then you’re lucky to have a responsible man but he doesn’t owe you random money just because you are his girlfriend.

Until a man has married you, he is not obligated to be responsible for you…. whatever he does is out of the generosity of his heart but you should never feel entitled to his money.

Don’t let the internet deceive you, it’s nice to have a man that is intentional with his generosity but it’s not your birth right. There is nothing genetically programmed in a man that makes it easier for him to make money than a woman.

It’s not easy to make money, so no one wants to keep spending “randomly”. If you need random money, please get a job.”

While many applauded Doyin for being sensible in her approach, others claimed she was only giving good advice because an influencer Saida Boj is currently under fire for her controversial remarks.
