Popular Nigerian actress and comedian, Anita Alaire Afoke Asuoha, also known as Real Warri Pikin, has shared her journey with weight-loss surgery.

During a recent event, the comedienne revealed that she opted for the surgery after a humiliating incident at a bank’s security system, recounting how an automated bank security system mistook her for multiple individuals due to her size.

In her words, “When I was plus-sized, one of the reasons I decided to do weight-loss surgery was an embarrassing situation at the bank. I entered into the bank door and the next thing I heard was, ‘Step back, one at a time, one at time’.”

Real Warri Pikin stated that despite receiving compliments for looking better and younger post-surgery, she is dealing with the aftermath of the procedure.

Real Warri Pikin expressed, “Everyone is saying I look better and younger after the surgery but they don’t know what I am passing through. My breasts have become sloppy,” 

Recall that Real Warri Pikin flaunted her new looks on social media last year after undergoing a weight-loss surgery.

The comedian divulged that she had numerous health problems as a result of her weight before having the gastric sleeve surgery.

She also got candid about some of the challenges she faced even after the successful surgery.

The comedian disclosed during an interview with Ghanaian journalist Doreen Avio on JoyNews that she frequently needed to be hospitalized due to her severe illness struggles.

According to Warri Pikin, this had an impact on her capacity to perform and support herself.

The comedian-turned-actress said, “It wasn’t easy at all,” adding that she was unable to appear in comedic events and had to return some money that had been paid to her.

She acknowledged that she regretted the unfavorable comments she had gotten and that she had questioned her decision to give further details about her transformation.

Warri Pikin added that she has come to understand that people find it difficult to accept change.
