Famous Nollywood actress cum film producer, Mercy Johnson Okojie has cleared the air amid the growing panic that trailed a video she posted on her Instagram page a few days ago.

The mother of 4 had taken to her Instagram page where she posted a video of herself donning an outfit meant for prisoners. In the video, Mercy Johnson was handcuffed while a man who acted as a prison warder led her gradually.

She further accompanied the video with a poignant caption where she emphasized the pain that comes with being accused falsely.

She wrote:

“Make God no let you see accusation wey be lie but you nor go fit defend yourself…. Hmmm.”

“Sometimes there s no iota of truth in the rumours. Trust is earned when words meet action.”

Due to Mercy Johnson’s troubling demeanour in the clip, some cybernauts thought it was real and subsequently took to the comment section to express panic.

First, an Instagram user identified as @kene_cee who understood what played out wrote: “Facebook people will be like, Mercy Johnson got arrested and sent to jail for. ”

Responding, Mercy Johnson wrote: “Lie wey dey Facebook na gwo gwo gwo.”

Another user who didn’t understand the context of the post started to express panic which subsequently caught Mercy Johnson’s attention.

The netizen identified as emmiautos wrote: “Please tell me this is not true but a recorded video.”

In reaction, Mercy Johnson clarified saying: “@emmiautos it’s a movie. ”
