Dammy Krane released from police custody, tenders apology [VIDEO]

Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane has finally been released from police custody, almost a week after being detained for allegedly defaming his colleague, Davido.

Recall days before Davido’s wedding, Dammy Krane had called the singer a murderer for having a hand in Tagbo’s death and claiming that the DMW boss is only getting married because Chioma caught him cheating.

His statement had gotten him into trouble as Davido’s lawyer gave him 24 hours to retract all offensive publications against OBO on his social media handles. He was also asked to refrain from further publication of defamatory statements against Davido on any platform or risk facing legal actions.

Last week, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that Dammy Krane was arrested and was supposed to face criminal charges for his defamatory statements and slanderous publications against the singer.

Luckily for him, Davido dropped all charges and allowed his release.

In a video captured online, Dammy Krane, making his first public statement, appreciated Very Dark Man, who he called his brother. He noted how netizens would be surprised with the link-up.

Dammy Krane admitted that he knew he said a lot of things that weren’t supposed to be said, and he apologised. He reminded netizens that Davido is still his brother and they will find major ground to resolve their differences.

In the clip VDM asked Dammy Krane to say a few words and here is what he had to say:

“I want to say a big thank you to my brother, Very Dark Man. I know you all weren’t expecting it. I know there were many words that ought not to be said, I apologize for this Tagbo-death allegation and all that. Make una still remember Davido is still my brother, and we are going to find a major ground to resolve everything”.
