The Grammy Award-winning artist made the announcement on his verified Instagram page, sharing the exciting news with his fans on September 2nd, 2024 after sharing several screenshots of fans messaging him while demanding the urgent release of the album.

Wizkid had previously teased the forthcoming project, Morayo, a few days ago, generating immense buzz and anticipation among music enthusiasts.

Yesterday, September 1st, 2024, the singer hinted at an upcoming announcement, promising to share a piece of exciting news by 1 PM on Monday, September 2nd, 2024. True to his word, Wizkid unveiled the release date of Morayo, seemingly confirming that the album will drop on October 1st, 2024, coinciding with Nigeria’s Independence Day.

Issuing the hint, Starboy wrote:

“On the day of Independence, the truth shall set us free. RRR”

He further urged Wizkid to stay true to his words and drop the Album on 1st October.
