Comedian and skit maker Abisi Emmanuel Ezechukwu, known to fans as Nasty Blaq, has sadly announced the passing of his mother.

Nasty Blaq took to his official account on the photo and video sharing platform, Instagram on Wednesday to share photos and videos of moments with his late mother, expressing the profound sorrow he has felt in the past few days.

He described her passing as a tremendous loss for his family and shared a prayer for strength to cope with the grief.

In his post Nasty Blaq wrote:

“These past few days have been filled with nothing but sadness in my heart concerning the passing of my beloved mother 💔. I pray God gives me the strength to heal.

“This is a great loss in my family, and though this saddens our hearts, we know she’s gone to a better place. Rest in peace, my first love, my source of motivation. You will surely be missed.”

Fans and colleagues quickly filled the comment section with messages of sympathy and support.

Skit maker De General expressed his condolences with a white bird and heart emoji.

Flowerboy wrote, “I didn’t get to meet her. I’m so sorry, my brother.”

Another colleague, Ini Cash, added, “I pray God gives you strength during this hard period. My condolences, bro.”

Nasty Blaq and mother

In the same vein, in July, Nigerian disk jockey, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy announced the death of her maternal grandmother.

The billionaire heiress said she’s finding comfort in the knowledge that her grandma is now “in heaven”.

DJ Cuppy said she is grateful for how her grandma raised her mum, who in turn raised her.

Nana Otedola’s mother, Cuppy’s grandmother was 91 before she died.
