The controversy erupted last Friday when Emeka announced Halima’s suspension, claiming it was the outcome of a protracted two-year investigation that purportedly found her guilty of disseminating damaging rumors about her colleagues and influential personalities within the entertainment industry.

The allegations against Halima are particularly salacious, with the AGN accusing her of peddling defamatory claims that include scandalous accusations of extramarital affairs involving some of the industry’s most prominent figures.

In a defiant response, Halima’s legal team, P.D. Pius & Associates, has fired off a powerful letter dated October 20, vehemently rejecting Emeka’s accusations as “false publications.”

The legal correspondence paints a vivid picture of Halima’s distress, highlighting the emotional toll the allegations have taken on her, especially as she grapples with ongoing health challenges.

Her lawyers have accused Emeka of exploiting her vulnerable condition, portraying his actions as a calculated attempt to tarnish her reputation and “stir up public outrage” against her, all while she is at a low point in her life.

The legal team is demanding not only a retraction of the damaging statement but also a public apology from Emeka. They are seeking a staggering N3 billion (approximately $7.5 million) in damages, a figure that underscores the seriousness of the allegations and the impact they have had on Halima’s life and career.

“Instead of respecting our client’s rights to privacy and a fair hearing, you chose this sensitive period to promote your false story,

“Your false publication has severely damaged our client’s reputation and continues to do so with every passing minute”
