- King West, the bold and brash son of MC Oluomo, is once again making headlines after reports surfaced of his father’s sudden removal as the NURTW president.
- West, who celebrated his father’s new role, flaunted his power with a mix of pride and arrogance, shared a video to address the report.
After the news broke that Musiliu Akinsanya, aka MC Oluomo, had been sacked as NURTW president, his son, Idowu (King Westt), didn’t waste any time firing back.
The drama began just a week after MC Oluomo’s highly publicized appointment, when reports hit the streets that the Appeal Court had decided to oust him from office, setting tongues wagging.
But King Westt wasn’t about to let the slander stand. Without hesitation, he stormed social media to shut down the claims with a fierce response.
On his Instagram stories, he posted a meme that showed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Adams Oshiomole dancing, a mocking jab at the reports.
With a smirk, he said his father was never sacked and still very much in office.
He captioned the post;
“My father and I are in the office watching what blogs are posting.”

After MC Oluomo took the oath of office, he was sacked by the Court of Appeal in Abuja.
The court affirmed Alhaji Tajudeen Baruwa as the legitimate President of the NURTW, and also included an award of N100,000 against the appellants in favour of the respondents.
The ruling followed an earlier decision by the National Industrial Court on March 11, 2024, which had also declared Baruwa as the rightful leader of the union.
Delivering the unanimous judgement, a three-member panel comprising Justices Hamma Akawu Barka, Nnamdi Dimgba, and Asmau Ojuolape Akanbi declared the appeal “lacking in merit.”
The appellate court also awarded the sum of N100,000 against the Appellant in favour of the Respondents.
