Nigerian singer Crown Uzama, also known as Shallipopi, has shared his thoughts on the relationship between wealth and manhood.

He suggested that having money is a key aspect of being considered a man, and those who don’t have it might be viewed differently.

Shallipopi expressed his views on social media, stating that wealth is a defining factor in manhood.

He wrote: “Na money make u be man, if u nor get join the ladies set.”

He also criticized men who prioritize love over financial stability, implying that they are outdated in their thinking

In another story, Shallipopi advises artists on why they should charge according to their worth .

The 24 year old stated this while addressing the debate over high fees charged by Nigerian artistes.

Speaking in an interview with News Central TV, the singer noted that an artiste’s value is linked to the success and reach of their music.

While disputing the notion that Nigerian artistes have overpriced themselves out of the local market, he emphasised that artistes who achieve similar streaming as American artistes should charge comparable fees. Shallipopi said:

It depends on your music and where it has gotten, that is what your price is going to be.

“If your music has gotten the same stream as an American artiste, you should be charging the same way they charge but if it’s not up to that you cannot overcharge.”
