Nigerian global sensation David Adeleke, better known as Davido, is officially in album mode, gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated fifth studio album, slated to drop in 2025.

The DMW label boss, fresh off the buzz of his latest track Awuke with YG Marley, made the thrilling announcement during an appearance on The Baller Alert Show.

In what promises to be a groundbreaking project, Davido revealed that his upcoming album will spotlight authentic African vibes, blending the continent’s rich musical heritage with his signature global appeal.

The Timeless hitmaker also teased his forthcoming track Funds, a collaboration set to feature the lyrical prowess of Nigeria’s chart-topping rapper Odumodu Blvck and the soulful melodies of Chike.

Sharing his thoughts on his collaborators, Davido boldly crowned Odumodu as Nigeria’s reigning rap king while drawing parallels between Chike and American R&B sensation Bryson Tiller, emphasized the singer’s distinct ability to bridge emotion and rhythm.

“My album will be coming out early next year. It will be a real African records,” he said.

“We have another coming in couple of days, it is called ‘Funds’. I featured the current biggest Nigerian rapper, Odumodublvck, and the Nigerian Bryson Tiller, girls love him is name is Chike.”

He further expressed his willingness to remain in Nigeria rather than relocate.

“I have to stay tapped in because why run away from home when others are running there now,” he added.
