Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has sparked backlash online after announcing his ambition to become the Governor of Anambra State.
Yul Edochie made the bold declaration of being the future governor of Anambra State when he visited Prophet Odumeje’s church in Anambra State alongside his second wife, Judy Austin.
The couple was warmly received by the church members, with Yul taking to the podium to hype himself and his wife.
In an Instagram post, Yul shared a video of their arrival at the church, complete with heavy security and cheers from the crowd. He introduced himself and Judy as the future Governor and First Lady of Anambra State.
Captioning the video, he wrote:

It’s worth noting that Yul had previously expressed interest in running for President in 2023, but later dropped his ambition, citing the lack of capacity of his party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), to win the presidential election.
