Adeboye stated that his initial statement, made during the Abuja Holy Ghost Service, sparked controversy, and he chose not to repeat it.

However, he did express his concern about the state of the country, questioning whether Nigeria is under a curse.

He noted that despite the country’s abundant resources, it seems to be lagging behind other nations that have fewer resources.

He said:

“I said something during the Abuja Holy Ghost Service which I am not going to repeat because I nearly got into trouble because of telling the truth.

“Certain things happened, at least in my nation Nigeria, that force you to wonder: Are we under a curse? There are nations that didn’t have all the resources we have, and yet, they seem to be doing better than we are doing. Hmmmm, let me leave that out.”

The cleric also addressed the issue of private refineries in Nigeria, calling on citizens to pray against the alleged efforts of powerful cabals to hinder their success.

He expressed frustration over the significant amount of money spent on repairing the country’s four government-owned refineries, which still fail to operate optimally.

It’s worth noting that Pastor Adeboye has previously shared his prophecies for 2024, which include a message for Nigeria: “The wind is blowing,” indicating that things will get worse before they get better, and that secrets will be revealed.
