His declaration, which paints a chilling picture for online discourse, has sparked a firestorm of reaction, most notably from the outspoken online crusader, Martins Otse Vincent, aka Verydarkman (VDM).

This move by the Police comes at a time when high-profile figures like Rapper Speed Darlington have already been arrested for “online abuses,” setting a dangerous precedent for the control of free speech in the digital realm.

In a bold statement shared via his X handle, Adejobi declared that while freedom of expression is a right, it does not grant the liberty to hurl curses at government officials or any other individuals.

“Raining direct curses on someone online is cyberbullying, not expression of freedom or criticism.

“And cyberbullying, which is even different from defamation, is a criminal offense and punishable,” Adejobi stated.

However, the ever-vocal Verydarkman, never one to shy away from calling out injustice, responded with a sharp and venomous retort via his Facebook page.
