In a thought-provoking post, James Brown accompanied a photo of himself with a candid caption that expressed his frustration with the blame often directed at men.

He pointed out that many countries led by men are embroiled in conflicts, and questioned the relevance of traditional expectations placed on men.

James Brown noted that these expectations, which have remained largely unchanged since the era of slavery, do not address basic human needs or provide practical support.

He wrote:

“I woke up today, thinking why am I a man this country is in a hot mess because of a man, 99 percent of country rule by men are fighting war because of men, as a man there so much expectation from time of slavery, that has not being changed, from the traditional and culture, and yet none of these feeds, or pay our bills, if you check now it always a man……At the end, God bless human species, May God give me the strength and the 99+ others that believe in change.”
