Nollywood actress and movie producer Ruby Ojiakor has been recognized for her philanthropic efforts, receiving a prestigious humanitarian award from the Starlight Lady Foundation.

Taking to her Instagram page, the film star shared a heartwarming video capturing the moment she received the honour.

Expressing her joy, Ruby emphasized that giving back to society is her greatest source of fulfillment, describing it as “doing the work of God.”

In her post, she wrote:

“I received a ‘HUMANITARIAN AWARD’ today, Fam, from ‘STARLIGHT LADY FOUNDATION.’ Nothing gives greater joy than doing the work of God. JESUS, I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL. Giving is living.”

The actress also tagged her charity organization, the Ruby Ojiakor Foundation, noting her commitment to supporting those in need.

In other news, Nollywood actress cum singer Adesua Etomi-Wellington has opened up about her medical struggles in 2024, revealing that her husband also had his fair share.

Adesua made the revelation in her birthday message as she added a new year on February 22nd.

In the lengthy post shared on her Instagram page, the mother of two revealed that 2024 tried to take the wind out of her sail, sharing how she battled hyperemesis for months.

Adesua Etomi added that while she was dealing with her own medical issues, the love of her life, her musician husband Olubankole Wellington aka Banky W, had another surgery to remove a cancerous tumor.

As if that was not enough, the actress disclosed she underwent an emergency C-section because the devil tried with her life again, and she had a harrowing healing process.

The mother of two expressed her gratitude to her doctors who looked after her in Lagos, Nigeria, and Washington, DC. Adesua Etomi also thanked everyone who showed her grace even when they didn’t know what she was going through.
