- Just hours after Verydarkman landed in China, under the guise of a business-security mission, the internet spiraled into a storm of speculation over the true purpose of his sudden journey.
- Then came the bombshell, a claim that he was summoned by Chinese authorities.
- The revelation hit like a match to gasoline, fueled a fierce digital battlefield where defenders came out with unrelenting force.
Social media firebrand Martins Vincent Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has once again found himself at the heart of a storm, this time over a bombshell claim that he was invited by Chinese police.
VDM had earlier laid out the purpose of his China trip, an audacious mission to expose fraudulent dealings between Chinese manufacturers, suppliers, and Nigerian entrepreneurs. According to him, countless Nigerians had fallen prey to intricate scams that bled millions in losses.
But as speculation swirled over his abrupt travel, Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu, a longtime adversary, wasted no time in stoking the flames with his fresh claim.
Taking to his page, he alleged that VDM had landed in hot water, averred that the Chinese police interrogated him on March 2, 2025.
Maduagwu wrote;
“E Don happen. Information reaching me says VDM was interrogated for 2 good hours by Chinese Police yesterday.
“The question is WHY? This is bad, why was he questioned for 2 hours by Chinese Police?”

His statement, however, backfired spectacularly. Within moments, his comment section turned into a battlefield, with netizens ripping into him for spreading what they called a baseless and desperate falsehood.

This comes hot on the heels of a fiery proposition from social commentator Isaac Fayose, who rattled the political sphere by suggesting that VeryDarkMan be appointed as chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Isaac, brother to former Ekiti State governor Ayo Fayose, declared that under VDM’s leadership, no corrupt politician would ever taste re-election, painted the activist as a rare symbol of integrity in a nation suffocating under the weight of deception.
