The tension traces back to February 2025, when the Senate floor became a battlefield. It began with Akpoti-Uduaghan’s fierce protest against the sudden reassignment of her seat.

On February 20, she stood her ground, refused to move despite direct orders from Akpabio and the intervention of the Sergeant-at-Arms.

In a shocking turn, she accused Akpabio of making unwanted advances toward her during a visit to his residence in Akwa Ibom on December 8, 2023.

She claimed Natasha’s allegations had caused unbearable emotional and psychological distress to her and her children, escalating the saga into deeply personal territory.
