Nigerian singer Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi, has announced the passing of his mother, Ifeoma Edith Ajibade.

The artiste took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news, posting a touching tribute alongside a photo of them together.

In his rather moving post, Mr Eazi wrote:

“Thank you, Mummy For your strength, your sacrifices, your unwavering faith. For raising us with love, discipline, and devotion to God. For teaching me confidence, entrepreneurship, forgiveness, and family.

“You were my greatest protector, my toughest critic, and truest Fan.

“You were not perfect, but you were perfect to me. Your legacy lives on. Rest well Ifeoma Edith Ajibade.”

Meanwhile, Mr Eazi’s in-law, in July 2024, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy announced the death of her maternal grandmother.

The billionaire heiress said she’s finding comfort in the knowledge that her grandma is now “in heaven”.

DJ Cuppy said she is grateful for how her grandma raised her mum, who in turn raised her.

Nana Otedola’s mother, Cuppy’s grandmother was 91 before she died.

On her X handle, as well as her Instagram story, the grieving music star wrote:

“My mummy’s mother has passed away. I’m finding comfort knowing she’s in heaven, looking down on us with love. What a life she lived!

“I’m so grateful for the way she shaped my mum, who then shaped me. I’m praying for my very own during this sudden season of change, but we already know that our God is good all the time.

“Grandma Kaduna, your spirit lives on, guiding and comforting us #RIP.”
