“Not all mental illnesses are noticeable,” Charly Boy had said, insinuating that the senator’s flashy lifestyle may be masking deeper issues.

In a strongly worded response via a video posted to his social media pages on Thursday, Melaye lambasted the music legend, accusing him of seeking relevance by attacking his character.

“Charly Boy is trying to use my name to gain popularity because his destiny has been thrown inside a freezer,” Melaye said.

He further mocked the veteran entertainer’s living conditions.

“I heard he has a leaking roof but he has no money to fix it. He places a whole big bike in front of his house like a statue and doesn’t see that as a show-off,” Melaye added.

Captioning the video, he wrote, “Boda agbaya..Charly Boy. Bad son of a good father. Egungun wey dey climb okada. Be careful.”
