Nollywood actor Don Richard has made a heartbreaking public appeal for financial support as he battles kidney disease, revealing that he has been pushed to the brink of despair after exhausting all personal resources.

In a deeply emotional video interview shared by actress Biola Adebayo on Monday, July 29, 2025, the ailing actor, on her talk show Talk-to-B, disclosed the devastating toll his deteriorating health has taken on his family and finances.

When my wife was told about my health, she started crying,” Richard recounted in the video, his voice frail but laden with emotion. “And I told her that ‘another man is a lucky man.’ I begged her to take good care of my children (twins).”

The veteran actor, known for his work in Yoruba-language films, revealed that in a desperate bid to fund his medical treatment, his wife sold off their home and car, leaving them with nothing.

“Immediately she left the hospital, she went to dispose of our house and car for my treatment. I have nothing left anymore,” he said.

Biola Bayo, who shared the distressing video on her social media platform, confirmed the actor’s critical condition. “Don Richard has been down with a kidney in a while,” she wrote, while also including his bank account details to facilitate donations from the public.
