Nigerian music superstar Davido Adeleke and his partner Chioma Rowland are set to tie the knot in a white wedding ceremony this weekend, but a fresh report has stirred online buzz, alleging that Chioma’s parents may not be present at the highly anticipated event.
Popular entertainment blogger Stella Dimoko Korkus (SDK) shared new details surrounding the family dynamics ahead of the lavish wedding celebration.
According to Stella’s post, Chioma’s father was originally meant to walk his daughter down the aisle at the white wedding. However, that plan has reportedly hit a roadblock due to visa-related issues that have left both her parents allegedly grounded in Nigeria.
The blogger revealed that after Chioma’s traditional wedding in Nigeria, she, her sister, and both parents traveled back to the United States, where the parents allegedly remained for over a year. Their extended stay, she claimed, violated the terms of their five-year U.S. visa, which led to its revocation and a reported ban from re-entry.
Stella also noted that Chioma’s mother had been the primary caregiver for the couple’s twins. Her continued role as caretaker has raised further questions about whether any alternative arrangements were made for the wedding weekend.
Although the blogger did not provide official documents or statements from immigration authorities, she speculated that the couple’s parents might not have fully understood the implications of overstaying their visa terms, which could have triggered the reported ban.

As anticipation builds for the celebrity wedding, fans and critics alike have expressed concern over the reported absence of Chioma’s parents — particularly her father — at such a symbolic milestone. Meanwhile, neither Davido nor Chioma has issued a public statement confirming or denying the claims.
The wedding is expected to attract dignitaries, celebrities, and close friends from within and outside Nigeria, making it one of the most watched events in the entertainment calendar this year.
