Against the Ice trailer follows Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in a harrowing journey

Game of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau brings a harrowing true story to the Netflix streaming service this March with Against the Ice.

Netflix has released the first trailer for this historic adventure, set in 1909, following Coster-Waldau’s Ejnar Mikkelsen and Joe Cole’s Iver Iversen.

Ejnar and Iver set off on a journey to prove that the world’s largest island, Greenland, is in fact one single piece of land, thus disproving America’s claim to the Northeast section of the country.

When Iver asks if he thinks they can make it, a seemingly-delusional Ejnar says, ‘There’s truth in every dream, Iverson. There’s truth in every dream.’

The trailer winds down with the duo clearly starting to lose their grip on reality as Ejnar tells him they may lose their minds or freeze to death, ‘but we must push on,’ with one of the final shots featuring a polar bear standing over Ejnar.

‘To hope,’ Iver toasts as Ejnar looks at him blankly, as the trailer comes to an end.

Against the Ice, which Coster-Waldau also co-wrote from the real Ejnar Mikkelsen’s book, debuts on Netflix March 2.
