Speaking to the publication a show source said: ‘The new element will produce some heartwarming moments. The judges are going out to meet people but they don’t know they are coming.

‘The idea is to highlight some brilliant people and tell their story in a different way. It really helps to make their auditions memorable and special.’

The idea comes from the show’s pre-existing ‘Golden Buzzer’ which when pressed, allows acts to skip through the knockout stages and head straight to the semi-finals.

This come as a fun-filled teaser trailer was released on Thursday that saw a Simon Cowell impersonator take to the stage wearing a red fringed bodysuit in an act bound to leave the judge gobsmacked.

Elsewhere, David was seen looking squeamish as he took to the stage to assist a circus performer in pulling a heart shaped sword out of her throat.

The comedian also appeared to strip off on stage, taking off his shirt in front of an elderly woman, in a bizarre moment.

Other acts included a team of skateboarders performing stunts, singers belting their hearts out and gymnasts performing jaw-dropping routines.

A follow-up episode will also air the following day at 7.35pm as the auditions will get underway on Easter weekend.

The hit ITV talent show was previously postponed due to safety concerns and the restrictions brought about by tier systems and lockdowns.
