Demi Lovato was snapped entering a Los Angeles recording studio on Thursday, showing off their new spider tattoo on their head.

The 29-year-old singer, who uses the pronouns they/them, donned a dark blue denim jacket over a patterned top as they made their way into the facility. They wore black pants and toted a black purse on the daytime outing.

The What Other People Say artist got the eye-catching ink from tattoo artist Dr. Woo, and showed off the inking process via social media on Saturday.

‘It was Grandmother Spider who taught us many things,’ Lovato said of the figure on social media. ‘She taught us about pottery and weaving. She taught us about fire and light and dark. She taught us that we are all connected on the web – each one of us having our place in this world.’

The Grammy-nominated entertainer also recently got a piercing over their left ear from piercer Daniel Ruiz, who is based in Los Angeles.

A source close to Lovato told Page Six Saturday that the entertainer was ‘doing well’ after a recent stint in rehab in Utah.

Lovato last March told CBS Sunday Morning they were California sober, a lifestyle that includes the use of marijuana and alcohol.

‘I think the term that I best identify with is “California sober,”‘ Lovato said. ‘I am cautious to say that, just like I feel the complete abstinent method isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution for everybody, I don’t think that this journey of moderation is a one-size-fits-all solution for everybody, too.’

In December, Lovato, who had an overdose in 2018, said in an Instagram Stories post, ‘I no longer support my “California sober” ways. Sober sober is the only way to be.’

An insider told Entertainment Tonight that Lovato ‘wanted to get back on track and recently swore off being California Sober,’ and that their ‘friends and family were there to support them during their time in rehab.

‘They wanted to start the year off on a good path, and this stay helped them with this.’
