Influencer Jadé Tuncdoruk raises eyebrows at Australian Fashion Week

Controversial influencer Jadé Tuncdoruk raised eyebrows at Afterpay Australian Fashion Week on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old stunned onlookers when she wore head-to-toe Louis Vuitton and failed to ‘support local’ designers.

One local designer told Daily Telegraph’s Confidential she ‘clearly hasn’t read the room’ by showing off an international designer at an event supporting Australian talent.

Jadé arrived for day two of Fashion Week in a black neoprene Louis Vuitton dress, teamed with the label’s Urban Twist Pump retailing for $1,480 AUD and the Twist MM handbag at $6,850.

She proudly showed off her outfit on Instagram in several snaps, tagging the brand.

The designer told Confidential: ‘Obviously everyone loves a high end label but at Fashion Week, where it is all about Australian designers, it is pretty average to promote an international brand. She clearly hasn’t read the room.’

The designer went on to suggest that it ‘would be nice to support local’ when you’re an ‘influencer and people are dressing you’.

Jadé did however support Australian label Camilla and Marc when she wore one of their three-piece suits with Gucci accessories on Monday.

In January, Jadé was forced to apologise for a racially insensitive Facebook post about Uber Eats drivers.

The resurfaced post from 2017 saw Jadé complaining about the company’s ‘annoying non-English speaking delivery drivers’.

‘I order off you guys all the time and I’m starting to find it really annoying that you have so many non-English speaking delivery people who can’t follow basic delivery instructions,’ she wrote.

‘I got a notification today saying my food was arriving and it took the person a further 20 mins to get to my door because he didn’t read my delivery instructions properly and when I called him to explain he didn’t understand a word I was saying.’

She continued: ‘Your GPS is consistently sending drivers to the wrong address which I’ve explained in my instructions which most people read and have no problem with but when foreigners are delivering it takes twice as long for me to receive my then cold food. Sort it out.’

Jadé later apologised for her ‘hurtful comments’ after her post was uploaded by the Celeb Spellcheck Instagram page.

The rant came after she faced backlash for demanding that a small business refund her $2,000 honeymoon deposit.

The company, Weekenda, accused Jadé of trying to ‘bypass’ their policies after ignoring the terms and conditions.

‘It doesn’t excuse anything but know that I have grown immensely in the past several years. I always do my best to be someone others can look up to and I know I’ve let people down and for that I’m truly sorry,’ she later said.
