Isaac Mizrahi: Linda Evangelista is ‘amazing’ for sharing CoolSculpting story

Isaac Mizrahi is proud of pal Linda Evangelista.

The usually press-shy supermodel opened up to People this week about the CoolSculpting procedure that she alleges left her “brutally disfigured,” sharing the first photos of her body since the botched treatment and declaring that she’s “done hiding.”

Mizrahi called her decision to speak out “amazing,” telling Page Six Style exclusively, “Linda had been such a mystery to all of us. She had been this huge star and yet … even when she was at her peak, she was private.”

Continued the designer, “She was never that person who spoke a lot to the press, so I’m pretty impressed that she’s done this. It might help some people.”

The 56-year-old catwalker claims that several sessions of the “fat-freezing” procedure increased rather than decreased her fat cells. The result left her “permanently deformed” and stuck in a “deep depression, profound sadness and the lowest depths of self-loathing,” she wrote on Instagram last year.

Meanwhile, the vivacious Mizrahi is gearing up for some revelations of his own, as he’s bringing his one-man show back to Café Carlyle next month, beginning on March 1.

“I think it’s going to be this big emotional thing. This idea that here we are, in a nightclub, after all of this,” he says of his post-pandemic return to the stage, teasing “hilarity” and “music that we’re working so hard on.”

And that’s not the only musical side job the “Project Runway All Stars” judge has in the mix; his show “Third Bird,” for which he wrote the libretto, will be staged at the Guggenheim Museum in June.
