James Blunt concert disrupted as fan is CARRIED OUT by security

James Blunt’s recent concert saw a disruption in the crowd as a fan was carried out of the gig by security guards.

In a video obtained by MailOnline, the tipsy reveller was ejected from James’ gig at the First Direct Arena in Leeds on Friday night after upsetting others with their rowdy behaviour and even yelling at another fan.

The You’re Beautiful hitmaker, 47, was unaware of the commotion and continued playing to the audience on the latest leg of his Once Upon A Mind tour.

The apparent trouble-maker was escorted out of the building by staff halfway through James’ set at around 9.30pm.

A source who attended the gig told MailOnline that the man, who has not been identified, attended the concert with around six-eight others, all of whom appeared to have been drinking before James had even started singing.

They added that three younger members of the group were vaping while being ‘very loud and annoying’, with the group continually calling out to an oblivious James to acknowledge that it was one of their birthdays.

The group’s loud antics caused a couple behind them to move seats, while another gentleman a few rows in front turned around to demand they stop making so much noise.

The soon-to-be ejected male, who was carrying a bottle of wine, was then said to have turned yelled obscenities at the other man before threatening him.

The source added: ‘Someone went and complained and some security came over to speak to him. They were with him for a few minutes and the gentleman was refusing to leave.

‘A women next to him stood up as if to try encourage him to leave but he continued to refuse to budge.’

There was then a two-minute stand-off between the man and security, with the guards then abruptly lifting him out of his seat and carried him out.

MailOnline have contacted representatives of James and First Direct Arena for comment.

James concert drama comes after BBC Breakfast viewers were left in shock last Friday as they dubbed an interview with the performer ‘unprofessional’ and ‘bizarre’.

The Goodbye My Lover singer appeared in the studio to discuss his tour, but was subjected to questioning about plastic surgery and his opinion on Uber.

During the chat with Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty there were several awkward silences and jokes from the presenters that didn’t land, which didn’t go unnoticed by viewers.

Viewers were left perplexed by the random nature of the chat, taking to Twitter to pen: ‘Stupid irrelevant questions. What were you thinking?’; ‘What a dreadful interview by Charlie and Naga, we had to turn it off as it was so appalling, even James Blunt thought so.’

‘Personally I think JB is great and very funny on Twitter but @BBCBreakfast team completely ruined what could have been a fun interview. Instead it was awkward and very unfunny. Just let the guest flow. Charlie and Naga are clumsy at best’;

‘Breakfast television on BBC should either get moved to CBBies or axed. I have never seen anything more unprofessional as the Mr Blunt interview. Naga and Charlie pathetic. It was on par with Dan Walkers out of depth questioning.’

James has just kicked off a nine date UK arena tour which will see him celebrate songs spanning a 17-year career that has sold over 23 million album as well as five Grammy Award nominations.
