Jenna Dewan signs on to star in and executive produce two new movies for Lifetime

Jenna Dewan has signed a new deal to star in and executive produce two new movies for the Lifetime network.

The 41-year-old actress signed a new two-picture deal with both projects in development, according to a network press release.

While no details were given about the projects, one is said to be part of the network’s annual It’s a Wonderful Lifetime holiday movie slate.

This new deal marks a return to the network for Dewan, after having previously starred in the 2008 TV movie Fab Five: The Texas Cheerleader Scandal (alongside Ashley Benson).

She also starred in the 2013 Lifetime TV movie She Made Them Do It with Mackenzie Phillips and the 2013 Lifetime series Witches of East End with Madchen Amick, Julia Ormond and Rachel Boston.

The actress will produce these projects through her company, Everheart Productions, alongside executive Kyle McNally.

‘We are thrilled to have Jenna return to Lifetime’s air, but even more so, we are excited to have her step into a Broader Focus behind-the- camera role to executive produce the projects,” said Tanya Lopez, EVP Scripted Content, Lifetime & LMN. 

‘The Lifetime audience loves Jenna and thrilled to collaborate with her to create movies that will resonate with our audience for the holidays and beyond,’ Lopez added.

‘I am so excited to re-team with Lifetime on these projects,’ Dewan said in her own statement.

‘They’ve always been such wonderful partners and have truly paved the way for female-focused entertainment,’ she added.

‘It’s going to be a lot of fun getting to tell some really special stories together,’ Dewan concluded.

She also took to her Instagram story and shared a news headline about her deal, along with a message.

Dewan joins Lifetime’s growing roster of actresses that will star in and executive produce multiple projects for the network including Reba McEntire (Reba McEntire’s Christmas in Tune), Toni Braxton (Fallen Angels Murder Club), Angie Harmon (Barstow), Sarah Drew (Stolen By Their Father, Reindeer Games) and Tia Mowry (Miracle in Motor City).

She can currently be seen starring on The Rookie, and recurring as “Lucy Lane” on the Superman & Lois, in addition to acting as a judge on the upcoming dance competition series Come Dance With Me.
