Luann de Lesseps postpones A Very Countess Christmas tour after team member tests positive for COVID

Luann De Lesseps has postponed her A Very Countess Christmas tour after a member of her team tested positive for COVID-19.

The Real Housewives Of New York star, 56, broke the news to her fans in a statement posted to her Instagram account on Wednesday.

‘All I wanted for Christmas was to be with you all! Sadly, one of my team members has tested positive, out of an abundance of caution we are canceling my upcoming Florida shows. I am extremely disappointed not to be able to be there with you in Florida. Hoping shows will be rescheduled as soon as possible!

Luann’s tour began November 30 in New York City and saw her perform all throughout the northeast. Her final three shows, which have been postponed, were to occur in Florida.

In addition to her popular cabaret, Lu released her very own original holiday song this season and she managed to get her Housewives cast together to shoot the music video.

Despite a season fraught with low ratings and high tension – particularly between Ramona Singer and Eboni K. Williams – the cast slipped into sparkly Jovani gowns to film the video for What Do I Want For Christmas?.

Proceeds from Luann’s new song will go to the Fortune Society which supports formerly incarcerated inmates.

From the video to the fan reception, Luann ‘couldn’t be happier’ with the outcome of the track.

‘I’m loving it. I’ve always wanted to do a Christmas song, and people have been asking me for that,’ she told Bravo. ‘I couldn’t be happier because it suits me. I think it’s very catchy. People are loving it. I perform it live in my cabaret show now. The girls have been great, and everybody loves the song.

‘The proceeds go to Fortune Society, and I actually had my first show [in November] at 54 Below, and the proceeds of that show, my very first show [on this current tour], I gave to Fortune Society as well.

‘So I couldn’t be happier with the song. And I love the music video. It was great to finally see that come to life after what we’ve all been through and celebrate the holiday, finally, together.’

Luann shot to stardom after joining The Real Housewives Of New York City in 2008.

She joined forces with other popular housewives as part of the new Bravo series, The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, which is now streaming on Peacock.
