The Ashes, Australia: David Warner's daughter bats a cricket ball

David Warner has made an applaudable effort batting against England in The Ashes.

And the Australian cricketer’s daughter Indi followed in her father’s footsteps on Wednesday when she took her turn at the crease at the MCG.

David, 35, filmed the five-year-old hitting the ball with her bat after it was bowled towards her, and later shared the footage on Twitter.

‘Indi having her first hit at the MCG,’ David captioned the post.

After hitting the ball, Indi quickly took off and ran down the pitch.

David’s Twitter followers were impressed by Indi’s superb batting skills.
