Isaac Aloma aka Zicsaloma, a Nigerian comedian and skit maker, has reacted to a viral video of a young girl attempting to speak British English.
Isaac stated that it is perfectly fine for a girl to speak Nigerian English rather than learning to speak the language with the accent of another country.
According to him, the British do not try to speak Nigerian English, so Nigerians should not try to imitate them.
Some internet users agreed with Zicsaloma, while others disagreed.
He tweeted:
My opinion about this video is that, it is ok to have a Nigerian Accent. If a British do not try to ‘have a Nigerian accent’ we do not have to try to have theirs.
