The Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye, Ijebu-North Local Government Area of Ogun State, Oba Abdulrazaq Adenugba has enjoined indigenes to invest in developmental projects in the towns, commending the location of a new cinema, WosAm in the town.
The monarch spoke during the grand opening of WosAm cinema in Ago-Iwoye.
Oba Adenugba said that the establishment of the cinema would develop the town’s infrastructure and economy.
WosAm Cinema comprises a relaxation centre, hotel rooms, a gym and a cinema.
The Cinema also has facilities for children, affording them an opportunity to interact with different playing equipment.
He said, “My being the Ebumawe of Ago- Iwoye is ordained by God. This is evident in the development ensuing in the town.
“WosAm Cinema is a great initiative that will develop Ago-Iwoye. You have invested well. The founder is doing this here as an indigene. You all should also invest in initiatives that would bring about the development of your origin.”
The deputy minority leader of the House of Representatives, Adesegun Adekoya said WosAm foundation is a development for the entire community.
He urged the government, monarchs, and individuals to provide employment opportunities for the development of the town.
He said, “Success without succession is a failure. The king’s reign brought a lot of fortune to the land. There will be another university apart from Olabisi Onabanjo University. A college is almost here. More banks will be in the town.
“I want to take this opportunity to implore our government, law enforcement agencies and our Kabiyesis’ to create an enabling environment, and provide infrastructure, electricity, and a good economy.”
He urged the government to endure development in terms of infrastructure, economy and many others that can bring development.
