UncutXtra Magazine hosted some of Nigeria’s prominent media personalities during the maiden edition of its Award Night and 10th edition Launch of its Magazine at Virgin Resort, Victoria Island, Lagos. The event which took place on the Wednesday, 28th December 2022 recognized the resilience and hard-work of notable Nigerian entertainers whose works have made immerse impact in the growth of the Nigerian Entertainment industry.
One of the major aims of the event was to award and celebrate some celebrities for their exceptional contribution to the uncut Xtra magazine since its inception, alongside other exceptional personalities, celebrities, and influencers who have been a major part of the uncut Xtra magazine’s success story. The event also recognised some other amazing personalities in the entertainment industry who are actively pushing to make the African Entertainment Industry the beauty it is.
Present at the event were the likes of Nigeria’s popular actor, content creator and activist Adebowale ‘Debo’ Adedayo also known as Mr Macaroni, Hermes Iyele, Ex BB Naija Housemate and cover star of the UncutXtra Magazine 10th edition who dazzled the audience with his grand entry into the event, talented Afro-pop singer and songwriter, Magixx who won the award for the next rated artist of the year.
Other celebrity guests present at the event include Saga Adeolu who won the award for the best content creator of the year,content creators Double Ds Twins, Sam Speedy, Vibe Doctor, Diiadem who received two awards for the Beauty influencer of the year and the best dressed for the day, skit-makers like Iya Mufu, Baba Alariya, Realsophy who won the award for the next rated comedian of the year and several other notable entertainers.
Denrele Edun, who filled the room with so much vibes, wit and charm as always, hosted the event. The event also witnessed amazing performances from Temilayo Abodunrin, a 13-year-old saxophonist who serenaded the audience with her beautiful mastery in playing the saxophone. Comedian H_Prince also performed live at this event, bringing energy with his rib cracking jokes.
The CEO of Creatrix Empire and founder of the Uncut Xtra magazine, Emmanuel Alade, in his speech commended the efforts and impacts of those who have immensely committed their energy and time to promoting Nigeria’s entertainment industry. He stated that “UncutXtra Magazine would continue to show utmost support and advocacy to personalities who have proven to be of influence in the Nigerian entertainment industry.”
The event was indeed a great way to kick off a maiden edition of any awards night. The guests also enjoyed so many gifts and delicacies provided by the sponsors and partners of the event. It was indeed a successful event!
