Adesua Etomi Opens Up On Banky W Venturing Into Politics

Adesua Etomi, a popular Nigerian actress, has spoken out about her husband, Banky W, pursuing his political ambitions.

In a recent interview, the actress expressed concern about Banky W’s desire to enter politics.

She added that her concerns subsided when she realized he is pursuing a higher purpose.

When Banky said he was going to go into politics, I was a little bit worried, she said.

I spoke about this many times before but I also believe that purpose is more important than fear.

I want to see him prove purpose, so he has my support 100 percent.

In November 2017, Adesua and Banky W married. The union has produced a son.

In 2019, the singer entered the political arena. He ran for the federal constituency of Eti-Osa in the House of Representatives as a member of the Modern Democratic Party (MDP).

At the time, he was defeated by Babajide Obanikoro, the All Progressive Congress candidate (APC).

Banky W, refusing to back down, left the MDP for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He ran for and won the party’s Eti-Osa federal constituency primary ticket ahead of the general election this month.

In June 2020, the politician revealed how his marriage to Adesua went through difficult times the year he entered politics.

He claimed that the outcome of the 2019 election “strained” his relationship, especially after he and Adesua lost their first pregnancy, a set of twins.
